Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there.
Today was a R and R. Day for us and preparing to get on the road in the morning.
We went out to dinner for Father's Day and were surprised about the quality of food we received from the establishment we went to for dinner.It was a little log house on a side road about a mile from the park we were parked. We were the second car in the parking lot, so we went in the door and it was a little dining room with white linen tablecloths and pretty little vases of flowers on the center of the rustic wood tables. When we saw the menu we knew we were in for a special meal.
Each dish was made for you with wonderful spices and herbs. I had pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce. They also served artison breads. The salad was great. They used sauteed portabello mushrooms and homemade pasta. Our bread was a sweet bear bread. Walt had a meatloaf with a hard boiled egg inside. The meal was wonderful.
That was a nice surprise in a back country rustic log cabin. Surprise---Surprise.
