February 9, 2011--Kokopelli Quilts and Coronado State Monument

As you can see from the title of the day we went to another quilt shop and the Coronado state Monument.
These were the points of interest for today.

The Kokopelli Quilting Company was an awesome shop with a theme of the southwest. I have never been in a shop which was so neat and clean. When you walked into the door it was "Knock your sock off amazing".

The staff was very friendly and very professional. They knew what they were talking about and were very interest in you and your projects. I have a whole album of the pictures I took of the striking quilts they had on display.

We did do a short stop at Traders Joes. Walt had never been in one of these stores and he was delighted. It had some "2 Buck Chuck" wine and some even more pricey bottles also. The merchandise is the store is very unique.

When we got back home Walt walked to the Coronado State Monument Museum. It was a display of te ancient ruins of the Kuaua Pueblo. It also had some hiking trails so he did his daily walk at the same time.

This evening they had Mass at the Church of the Incarnation in Rio Rancho, NM, which only about 10 minutes from the park.

Below are some pictures from todays album.

Beautiful quilts --very well done
